How to catch Darkrai in Pokemon Go

Darkrai will only be available in Raids until November 1st when Halloween event Pokemon Go is over, so you have to make the most of this time if you want to add something to your collection. To help you with this, we’ve put together some tips on how to fight and catch Darkrai in Pokemon Go under.

1. When Darkrai appeared in Pokemon Go

Like many other Legendary and Legendary Pokemon, Darkrai can be found as a level five Raid Boss. So, to meet it in the game, you will need to go to the Gym – where Darkrai’s attacks take place. This mythical Pokemon will periodically appear at Gyms, but the best way to find them is during the Legendary Raid Hour event.

For an hour every Wednesday night, there are many attacks by five-star legends in Pokemon Go, making sure you find a Raid is very effective. It will take two hours for Darkrai to attack before this mythical Pokemon returns to darkness. The first time took place on October 23, with the second on October 30. Both events will take place from 6-7 PM local time.

To participate in the Raid Battle, you need to have a Raid Pass. You can purchase these from Pokemon Go’s in-game store, or get them for free when you spin a Photo Disc at PokeStop. However, you can only hold one free Raid Pass at a time.

2. The most effective way to catch Darkrai in Pokemon Go

Before you can have a chance to catch Darkrai, you first need to defeat it in battle and of course Darkrai is a pretty tough opponent. Darkrai Mythology is a pure Dark type, which means it is easily countered by the Fighting, Bug, and Fairy lines. So you need to have Pokemon of these 3 types in your squad if you want to challenge Darkrai.

For Fighting types, Machamp will probably be your best bet, especially if it knows Counter and Dynamic Punch. Heracross and Scizor are both good Bugs to use, especially if it knows X-Scissor. Fairy types are harder to find as they are some of the rarest Pokemon in the game, but Gardevoir with Dazzling Gleam is a good choice.

However, two types you should not use or avoid using are Ghost and Psychic. Darkrai resists both elements, so those monsters won’t do good damage to this myth. Note that Gardevoir is also part of Psychic, but it takes neutral damage from Darkrai due to the fact that it is also part of Fairy, and if it learns the aforementioned Dazzling Gleam, it can attack god Pokemon Super efficient Darkrai phone.
