The next expansion of the card game Hearthstone has been announced. Called Descent of Dragons, this expansion has the meaning of Year of the Dragon. It will follow the plot of the previous two games. Descent of Dragons will launch on October 10 and is available for pre-order now.
The game’s new keyword this time is Invoke. It allows you to upgrade your cards to a more powerful version. For example, Galakrond will evolve into three forms, when using Invoke – and all players will receive a copy of Galakrond.
Galakrond’s Gift
In addition to the ability to evolve every time you use an Invoke card, Galakrond will also grant his Hero Power. For example, when Seal Fate is cast, it not only deals 3 damage to the full health minion, but also adds a random Lackey from Galakrond’s Hero Power.
Hearthstone expansions are released every 4 months. Each expansion brings new metas and changes to the gameplay. With the recent Saviors of Uldum expansion, players witnessed the return of Quest mechanics and the rise of Shaman decks.
