Hearthstone: The best cards to craft in early 2019

Crafting cards in Hearthstone is really stressful. So what cards should you craft for 2019?

Many decks don’t work as intended unless they have key cards that play an important role in the given strategy.

That means players will have a hard time testing the true strength of the deck unless you own all the necessary cards. The vast majority of players usually don’t have enough dust to risk that. Therefore, you want to exploit the full value of each card you craft.

With the new standard coming soon, here are a few cards you can craft – these are sure to be strong cards in 2019:

Shirvallah, the Tiger

Shirvallah is one of the most talked about cards in Rastakhan’s Rumble recently. This 25-mana cost card has a 7/5 stat: possessing Divine Shield, Life Steal, and Rush. Shirvallah’s mana cost reduces each mana for the amount of mana you used for the previous spell. This means that if the deck has a lot of spells, you can cast Shirvallah for almost free.

Since this card appeared, it has played an important role in resurrecting the Control Paladin archetype. The main deck that Shirvallah shows up most often is OTK Paladin, but this deck will not be useful anymore when Uther of the Ebon Blade rotates out in April. There is a high chance Shirvallah will remove the antlers for Paladin when Uther disappears and this card. will become a must-play card for any Control Paladin deck.

Pyromaniac and Daring Fire-Eater

Pyromaniac and Daring Fire-Eater are in the Mage’s strongest combo currently in the meta. Since these two cards will persist with Rastakhan’s Rumble, they will not disappear.

Pyromaniac is a 3 mana 3/4 card that allows you to draw one when your Hero Power kills a minion. Given the card’s base stats, this effect is really strong, but when combined with Daring Fire-Eater, it’s even more powerful.

Daring Fire-Eater: 1 mana cost 1/1 with Battlecry allows your Hero Power to deal 2 more damage the turn Daring Fire-Eater spawns.

This combo offers a lot of value, not to mention these two cards are very effective in the early game. Although Mage is currently not very strong in the ladder, but what changes in April will definitely benefit this duo.

Zul’jin

The new Hunter Hero, Zul’jin, is considered the strongest card in Rastakhan’s Rumble. Cards 10 mana cost and add 5 armor. Zul’jin’s Battlecry allows you to cast all spells you’ve used earlier in the game on random objects.

Zul’jin makes Spell and Secret Hunter the strongest and most played deck in the game. As most of the Hero Cards will rotate with the Frozen Throne expansion, many non-Hunter players are hoping the new year will bring a solution to their fight against Zul’jin.

But no matter what, we can predict Zul’jin will appear in the Hunter meta decks.

Subject 9

While this card isn’t part of Rastakhan’s Rumble, it doesn’t rotate in April like other powerful Legendary cards in the meta. Subject 9 is the 5 mana-cost 4/4 minion from the Boomsday expansion. Its Battlecry allows you to draw 5 different Secrets from your deck.

This card is worth crafting as it will appear in many classes of the year. Many people predict that Secret decks will change in April because Mage and Paladin will lose a lot of cards in their Archetype deck.

Subject 9 will certainly be used in Secret Mage or Secret Paladin, and now it is used frequently in Secret Hunter.

Oondasta

Oondasta is a legendary neutral card that is predicted to play an important role in the coming year. This 9 mana-cost 7/7 card has Rush. Oondasta also has an Overkill effect that allows you to summon a beast from your hand. Currently, Oondasta appears in Beast Hunter and some Control decks. Players have begun to revive the Druid with Beast archetype decks.

With cards like Oondasta in Rastakhan’s Rumble, the future of Beast decks is sure to be bright. Maybe Beast will appear more in the next expansion from April.

Ziliax

Zilliax is a 5 mana 3/2 Mech card that appears in most Control decks, whatever the class deck. Zilliax has Magnetic, Divine Shield, Taunt, Lifesteal and Rush. This allows Zilliax to take over the match Tempo in key moments.

Usually you will use Zilliax to clear the low health threat from the enemy, Lifesteal is just an extra bonus. No matter what happens in April, Zilliax certainly won’t lose its place in the Control archetype. Although appearing in the Boomsday expansion and not on the list of new cards for Rastakhan’s Rumble, Zilliax will still be around for a long time.

Jan’alai the Dragonhawk

Jan’alai, the Dragonhawk is considered one of the strongest cards in the Rastakhan’s Rumble expansion. 7 manacost 4/4, Jan’alai allows you to summon Ragnaros the Firelord when his hero power deals 8 damage earlier in the match.

Ragnaros is an 8/8 minion that deals 8 random damage to an enemy target. It’s used to clear the opponent’s table, and then Jan’alai and Ragnaros use it to hit your team’s hero. Currently, you can combine Ragnaros with Frost Lich Jaina to heal yourself, since Ragnasros is an Elemental.

Frost Lich Jaina will leave Standard in April so this combo value won’t last long, but Jan’alai is basically strong already so this shouldn’t affect much. Surely Jan’alai will appear in many Mage decks of 2019.
