In Red Dead Redemptioninitial Mexico Playing an important role in the story also creates a change in the landscape of the game. Red Dead Redemption 2 currently not available map Mexico, but this may change in the future.

GTA forum member VideoTech UK dug through the game’s files for Mexican-related documents. The data mining team used version 1.0 of the PS4 port, and to their surprise, they found 3D models that simulate different towns in Mexico.

These models are very simple, capable of being used to control the general layout. Models appear at the lowest level of quality detail available, with no higher quality detail to form the basis of a complete map. In some other cases, Rockstar textured the towns above in the game files.

WildBrick142, another data miner, even found information regarding the above areas in the minimap data. Even codes leading to bounty sites in Mexico were found, with the names and locations of wanted NPCs noted in the titles.

At this point, it’s difficult to determine whether all of the above was developed prior to the game’s release or if Rockstar is working on future content expansion. The developer seems to be focusing all of its resources on expanding the map on a large scale, because since the launch of GTA 5, Rockstar has not updated the single-player mode for its other games.

The possibility of a map of Mexico appearing in Red Dead Online sounds reasonable, but it’s still very bizarre to add such a large piece of content and be limited to the online version only.

Mined data rarely reveals the full story, so it’s best for fans to just refer to it and not set too many expectations. Lots of other games also have files with content that was cut and never recovered.
