PS4 and PS5 games will appear on the Epic Games Store
In a time when the disease is raging around the world like today, the Games industry has become the most developed market. All the information about the profits of game development companies is growing. Some recently leaked documents show that Epic Games seems to be reaching out to several developers to expand console titles. This document shows that Epic Games is interested in making deals on games from Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo, especially exclusive titles.
According to reports, Epic Games has made a $200 million offer to Sony for games that are currently exclusive to the company’s console platform. This is also the amount that Sony has invested in Epic Games. This means that the two companies will exchange this huge amount of money if the deal is successful. However, it is possible that Sony did not respond to the offer at the time the information was leaked, as the documents noted that Epic Games is still waiting for a response.
Other notes from the document also indicate that Epic Games is looking to contact Microsoft and Nintendo to buy titles, in addition to a big money offer to Sony. On the Microsoft side, it seems that the PC Game Pass team is not willing to open exclusively to the Epic Games Store.
Sony has opened the door to PlayStation exclusives like Days Gone, Horizon: Zero Dawn and Death Stranding, which shows that Epic Games’ approach is understandable. Even so, these transactions are still in the early stages. It may be a while before games start moving from PS4 and PS5 to the Epic Games Store.
