It seems that Valve’s Dota 2 team is keeping a close eye on the pro scene even during this outbreak. Overall patch 7.26 update is very short but will change the game greatly. Below is the vietsub of Dota 2 7.26.
Update 7.26 doesn’t focus on heroes, items, or other key game elements, but introduces some system changes to prepare for future patches coming out.
This time, Valve wants to slow down the game:
- Attribute (stat) no longer grants Magic Resistance for Strength, Spell Amplification for Intelligence, and Movement Speed for Agility.
- Gold bounty reduced by 10% (affects turrets, lane creeps, neutral creeps and heroes).
- Gold from kill streak is reduced by 50%.
The decrease in gold will have a big impact on heroes that go to farm. This is probably why Valve said they will wait for these changes to stabilize before releasing the hero and item adjustments.
This adjustment should help stretch some matches into the coming week. The nerf Attribute will have a bad effect on Intelligence and Strength heroes, but we will need more time to see their overall effect.
