While the pro scene never stops in Dota 2 even though LANs don’t exist, 2020 is still a challenging year for organizations and teams. Before Valve revealed its future plans, a lot of organizations had disbanded their rosters.

It seemed like this would be a disaster for the professional arena, but it also created new opportunities for organizations to recruit bright talent. Team SPIrit announced they had recruited the Yellow Submarine squad.

Yellow Submarine played in their old colors at the beginning of October. The team had impressive performances against NiP, Ninjas in Pajamas and Just Error that had just disbanded.

The team was in the top 4 at Dota Summit 13 Online: Europe/CIS in November. Yellow Submarine competed steadily to win spots in major tournaments. With the presence of big names in Europe, Team Spirit is considered as one of the promising names.

The squad is full of young talents: Ilya “yatoro” Mulyarchuk, Alexander “TORONTOTOKYO” Khertek, Magomed “Collapse” Khalilov and two experienced players Yaroslav “Miposhka” Naidenov and Vitaliy “so bad” Oshmankevich.

The new Team Spirit will compete under a new shirt against Live to Win at BTS Pro Series Season 4: Eurpe/CIS phase three. The other branch includes teams like Viking.gg and Spider Pigz.

Season DPC 2021 is scheduled to start on January 28, 2021, according to Valve’s November post, and Team Spirit will compete in tier 1 tournaments until the new season begins.
