FWD Change - Emergenceingame

Forward Gaming CEO David Dashtoyan announced a major change to the Dota 2 roster: a near-complete refresh of the team ahead of the MDL Disneyland Major qualifiers.

In the video released on Sunday, March 24, Dashtoyan said the current season is “too challenging” for the team, but “despite the inconclusive results in previous tournaments, everyone in Forward Gaming I still have faith in this squad.” But, once again at the bottom of the Major, change is clearly a must.

This change brings some bad news for Dota 2 fans. Forward Gaming captain Avery “SVG” Silverman decided to hang up the mouse and retire. Before joining FWD, SVG worked as a trainer for Evil Geniuses. Starting as a coach for EG, since 2016, he and the team reached 3rd place, but his intelligence is not enough to help Forwad Gaming.

Another shocking news for North American Dota is that Saahil “UNiVeRsE” Arora has decided to retire from the game indefinitely. The CEO of Forward Gaming did not say how long or why Universe made this decision. Roman “Resolut1on” Fominok does the same thing. However, he will stay with the team and sit on the bench until the end of the MDL Major, “most likely to return at the EPICENTER Major”.

During Resolut1on’s absence, Yawar “YawaR” Hassan will take the carry position while FWD picks up mid lane Quinn “CCnC” Callahan. Another name added to the team is Jungjun “Sneyking” Wu, taking on the offlane. As a support, Kartik “Kitrak” Rathi, a newcomer to the pro scene, made a splash two years ago and competed for Animal Platnet, Wind and Rain and Test 123.

The three new members of Forward Gaming are currently in beta and the final lineup will be decided after the MDL Major.

Forward Gamign’s new lineup from position 1 to 5 is as follows:

Yawar “YawaR” Hassan
Quinn “CCnC” Callahan
Jingjun “Sneyking” Wu
Arif “MSS” Anwar
Kartik “Kitrak” Rathi
