Team Secret and Nigma are two names facing each other in the WePlay finals! Dota 2 Tug of War: Mad Moon.
The opening match of the final day was the loser bracket final between Virtus.pro and Nigma, a rematch between the two teams from the group stage. While VP won in the previous event, this losing bracket final was a completely different story: Nigma destroyed the home team. So we continue to have another rematch, between Kuroky and Puppey in the BO5 series.
At the WePlay event! This Dota 2 Tug of War: Mad Moon, Secret only lost 1 game and that was against Nigma in the winning bracket semi-finals. Apart from that match, Secret completely dominated in the semi-final series. In the finals, while Nigma started the series somewhat dominating, they couldn’t pressure Secret for long. Secret quickly led the first 2 games in the finals.
By the third game, Nigma seemed to wake up. Cornered, Nigma shows why he is called the king of the losers. In just two games with the same length of 26 minutes, Nigma equalized the series and brought the final to the 5th game, also the decisive game.
After losing two games in a row, things fell apart for Secret as Nigma took complete control in the last game. The team did not let Secret exploit the loophole and completed the comeback. Nigma gave Secret its first losing streak since December of last year.
Despite not getting a ticket to the next Minor or Major, Nigma still beat Secret and won the WePlay championship! Dota 2 Tug of War: Mad Moon. As for Secret, the team will have to prepare for ESL One Los Angeles 2020.
