Earlier this week, we learned that Cloud9 would be returning to the Dota 2 arena for the first time in two years. Now, they officially announced the new lineup.

The tweet “Lakad Matatag?” was posted on Monday on Cloud9’s Twitter account, indicating that they will be returning to Dota 2. The last time we saw the team compete was at The International 2017 but the results were not as expected and resulted in a disqualification. immediate dissolution. Since then, C9 is no longer present in Dota 2. However, Cloud9 now confirms a completely new roster.

Along with this announcement, the organization briefly talked about its lineup and future. Jack Etiennce, CEO and owner of Cloud9 said:

“Ever since leaving Dota 2 in 2017, we’ve always been looking for the best time to come back and I’m glad it has. These players have been successful around the world and everyone here is looking forward to what they will do together.”

Cloud9 will be competing in the Southeast Asia qualifiers for the upcoming ESL One Los Angeles Major, but plans to move to North America at the next Major.

Cloud9’s new lineup is as follows:

  • Andrei ‘skem’ Ong
  • Cheng ‘vtFaded’ Jia Hao
  • Rasmus ‘MISERY’ Filipsen
  • Francis ‘Flee’ Lee
  • Johan ‘pieliedie’ ström

EHOME also confirmed not long after that vtFaded would be on loan with Cloud9 for the rest of the season.
