Big changes to the jungle area in LoL 8.10 update

Big changes to the jungle area in LoL 8.10 update

Is it time to relearn how to jungle? Riot Games is planning to launch big changes to the jungle, which is expected to change the tempo of matches in the near future.

In the upcoming 8.10 update, the developer will be looking at a few potential changes to the jungle and will soon put it on the PBE for testing. The changes revolve around the amount of experience that jungle camps provide, mana regeneration, and various aspects of Bizarre Crab.

In the post describing these changes, Riot Sotere mentions the goals of the changes and what those changes will be. Overall, Riot doesn’t want the jungler to have an impact on other lanes early in the game, instead Riot wants to keep them in the jungle. The changes this time are an attempt to address the recurring issue of mana for some junglers.

The experience gained from the field will be reduced early in the game and it will be more difficult for the jungler to reach level 3. Instead of just eating one buff, one normal field, and the remaining buff, players will now have to Clear one more base camp to get to level 3. Hunter’s Charm will give more mana regeneration while in the jungle and there will be a change to Echo Enchantment. There isn’t an exact number for these changes yet, so we’ll have to wait until the PBE test server to see how harsh these changes are.

Weird Crab will also be changed significantly – it is easy to see that there will only be one Strange Crab appearing on the map at any point in time of the match. Which side the Odd Crab appears on will be chosen at random, but the player will know in advance where. Weird Crab will give you more gold, experience and mana regeneration. The Strange Crab will spawn earlier and will be harder to kill as it will have more health than before.

These changes force junglers to stay in the jungle longer because they need to clear more camps than before to get the levels needed to affect other lanes. With the mana changes, Riot wants to increase the variety of junglers and allow champions with a mage bias to play in the jungle.

Many professional coaches and players have reacted negatively to these potential changes. Even EU LCS analyst Maurice “Amazing” Stuckenschneider says the changes will lead to a degraded tactic. In addition, there are many criticisms of the random appearance of the Weird Crab.

The League of Legends community expressed anger because when Crabs randomly appear, players can immediately be at a disadvantage by not doing anything wrong, depending on luck and the decision to clear the jungle. whichever side comes first. Randomness in League of Legends has always been criticized so far and players do not want to see any more random elements added to the game.

After initial backlash when the changes were announced, Riot Maple took to Twitter and said that the developer had reviewed all the comments they received and would reevaluate those comments. These changes are expected to appear on the PBE server on May 1.
