Doki Doki Literature Club Plus redesigned the main game as a DDLC virtual machine. Any player downloading the game a second time will need to enter the DDLC application from the top of the main Windows-style Metaverse Enterprise Solutions menu. Much of DDLC is like the first version of Doki Doki Literature Club Plus, with some adjustments to the limitations on console.

Standard ending

If you want to finish the game normally, you need to complete all Act 1 of the DDLC without having to start over and try different results. That means three parts of poetry should only be tried once or twice. You should also only spend the weekend with Yuri or Natsuki (don’t choose both). In Act 2, you can make any choice because it doesn’t affect the final outcome.

In Act 3, you need to exit DDLC and go back to the desktop Metaverse Enterprise Solutions. Now go to the file options and go to the Characters folder. Here, delete Monika.chr, then continue to open the DDLC application. If all of the above is done, Act 4 will end with a goodbye from Monika.

Nice ending

If you want a happier ending, you need at least 3 separate save games in Act 1. For each save game, you need to compose 2 poems for each of the characters Sayori, Yuri and Natsuki respectively. This action will unlock the CG art for each love story on that day. Also, in at least two save games, you need to spend one weekend hanging out with Yuri and another time with Natsuki. At the end of the weekend, tell Sayori that “I love you“. You must do all that before entering Act 2. If past Act 1, exit DDLC and run reset.sh from the main file directory. This action will reset the whole process and delete any saved saves on the Metaverse browser.

Doki Doki Literature Club Plus players need to complete the rest of the game. If successful, Act 4 will end with a personal thank-you letter from creator Dan Salvato.

Surprise ending

If you want to end the shocking Doki Doki Literature Club Plus game, instead of choosing New Game in DDLC, the player should immediately exit the Metaverse Enterprise Solutions screen. Browse files, go to folders Characters, then delete immediately Monika.chr. Re-enter the DDLC virtual machine to see the very sad and painful ending. If you can wait 10 minutes, the final message will appear.

End of Play With Me – Play with me

A brief ending is possible in Act 2. To see it, the player needs to write a poem to Natsuki on nights 1 and 2. When Monika suggested sharing poetry, you should choose Natsuki. Although that leads to the end of the game screen, the player will be returned to the classroom without any notification or reset.
