Deston – PUBG’s newest swamp map will have flying chickens

PUBG just revealed Deston, new map best of the game battle royale. Last year, this map was “teased” by the developer with images of a flooded cyberpunk environment and codenamed “Kiki”. Since then, Kiki has grown to become one of PUBG’s most diverse landscapes ever.

PUBG creative director Dave Curd revealed: “Deston is the largest, tallest and densest map ever to appear in the game. Throughout the game at Deston, players will experience an urban setting filled with tall buildings, undulating hills, plains, and even newly designed marshy areas. Deston’s aim is to provide the perfect combination of exciting gameplay and immersive experiences for players on a realistic arena. The map will challenge players to research each biome from which to choose different equipment, vehicles and hiding places to win Chicken Dinner.

Players can be stunned by Deston’s transformation. From a country fair, this map transforms into a futuristic city filled with solar panels and giant glass skyscrapers set to weather extremes like flooding from climate change or a catastrophic storm. The entire place has been abandoned, leaving behind malls, shopping malls and even an outdoor paintball field – the perfect location for PUBG’s life-or-death battles.

In addition, Deston is full of other natural environments, from open fields perfect for sniping to mangroves and swamps that are perfect for using the new Airboat – a type of transport on flat-bottomed water, very suitable for shallow areas. Gas stations still have leftover gas, but the amount is meager, but developer Krafton warns players that stray bullets can cause a catastrophic explosion. In addition, Deston also brings two new weapons: the O12 rapid-fire pistol and the MP9 submachine gun. Other Deston features will be detailed in future announcements. Players can experience this map starting July 13.
