According to many people from within the Ambassadors program, many of these rumors are true. One confirmation includes Ethan’s return in Resident Evil 7 as the main character in Resident Evil 8, with some tweaks to his appearance after surviving the previous installment. Maybe Ethan will become stronger and more mature, like Ash Williams in the Evil Dead series that the character was inspired by.
Other characters like Mia and Chris Redfield will also return to Resident Evil 8, but they may also change from the previous part. Ambassadors said they played many demos, with many versions of Chris Redfield, from the old part in Resident Evil 7 to the completely new design.
In addition, the game was “confirmed by the Ambassadors, with Resident Evil 8 additionally titled Village, completing the Roman numeral added in “VILL”.
