Darkest Dungeon 2 will soon have Early Access in early 2021. The sequel to this excellent roguelike title has just released a new trailer called “A Glimmer of Hope”. This trailer tells about the world invaded by the forces of darkness that players encountered in the first part.
In the video, we see familiar faces: Man-at-Arms, Plague Doctor, Highwayman, Grave Robber and Occultist. They are fighting the army of zombies, now roaming the town. The teaser retains the familiar “ink” graphics of the first game, but the characters are more detailed and each person changes their appearance.
There’s not too much concrete information in the trailer: it looks like the evil lurking in the early Darkest Dungeon has spilled over onto the ground. Your mission is to fight them.
Darkest Dungeon 2 will most likely continue the success of the first version. The game will be a party RPG with each challenge increasing in difficulty. The characters have to overcome their own limits: both physically and mentally. The game will test the player’s ability to make the character stronger on each journey, as well as control the bad habits that your character is infected by direct exposure to so many horrors in the Dungeon.
The game doesn’t have a specific release date yet, but Darkest Dungeon 2 will have Early Access on the Epic Games Store first.
