The North American transfer window is almost done, it’s time to take a look at the top NA teams.

Team Liquid:

Liquid iBUYPOWER Master IV - Emergenceingame

Considered the strongest North American team today. Liquid owns all the necessary pieces: from the role to the performance of the players. The members are now quite comfortable together. Jake “stewie2k” Yip is the newest member of the team but has been playing with them for months. And the results show that Liquid is gradually improving. In the long run, stewie2k will help Liquid beat its rivals. He is the mysterious element that the team needs to develop.

NRG:

NRG Starladder Starseries season 7 - Emergenceingame

Currently considered the second strongest team in North America, NRG brought in Tarik “tarik” Celik to replace Jacob “FugLy” Medisa after his poor run at the IEM Katowice Major. With the presence of tarik, NRG can improve the psychological as well as combat experience that the members bring. However, for now, we have not seen much change. While tarik offers a steady shot, the NRG still needs to find a way to make full use of the rest of the team: Brehze and Ethan in particular.

Cloud9:

This North American and European lineup is still a mystery. Maikil “Golden” Selim is back but now he has to rule over new members, coming from all over, with completely different experiences. However, Cloud9 owns quality members. Golden is a good IGL, Daniel “vice Kim plays brilliantly in the final days with Rogue, René “cajunb” Borg is experienced in the top CS arena. And Will “RUSH” Wierzba and Timothy “autimatic” Ta are the shining duo of the team. All in all, let’s give Cloud9 another two or three months.

compLexity:

This organization has been trying to build a top squad for the past time and is now ready to head out to sea. Peter “stanislaw” Jarguz is both a good shot and the leading IGL of the team, Shahzeeb “ShahZaM” Khan is a good AWP shooter, Ricky “Rickeh” Mulholand plays well and plays well. Meanwhile, Hunter “SicK” Mims is a rising talent; and Rory “depph” Jackson is gradually improving himself. These 5 members are considered the best compLexity team ever.

FURIA:

Furia csgo - Emergenceingame

FURIA is considered on par with Ghost, eUnited, Envy, and maybe even compLexity on this list. The team has proven itself to have the skills, chemistry and tactics to enter the North American arena. FURIA has improved tremendously and we will soon see their results. If they can overcome the current difficulties, Cloud9 and NRG definitely need to be wary of this Brazilian force if they want to compete with Liquid.

Ghost Gaming:

Ghost Gaming CSGO - Emergenceingame

Once considered the “hot” team of many months ago, Ghost is gradually going downhill. Ghost used to defeat formidable forces like Natus Vincere, but can now lose to anyone. The team added Ryan “freakazoid” Abadir, but it still hasn’t reached the expected level. It is difficult to pinpoint who is the weak link in the team.

However, Matthew “Wardell” Yu seems to be the only player who has kept up his form lately. As for Jaspn “neptune” Tran, he is on the decline. When looking at the individual’s performance stats, nepture has only 6 times with the same rating in the last 26 games. These games include non-Pro League opponents. Ghost really needs to find a way to revive the nepture or replace him.

eUnited:

eUnited CSGO - Emergenceingame

eNited’s new roster doesn’t really improve on the old roster. They have not been able to play stably even against inferior opponents. FURIA is considered the best match of these boys, winning all 5 maps in the times they clashed in the past 3 months. eUnited improved in the first week of ESL Pro League, beating Renegades and INTZ. However, Renegades then used a stand-in. What eUnited needs to do is practice a lot if it wants to fight Liquid, NRG, Cloud9, FURIA and others.

Envy:

Envy csgo - Emergenceingame

Similar to Cloud9, but with less experience, this is a squad we know very little about. Obviously the members of this team all have potential, but whether or not they can unleash it is another matter. In theory, Envy could compete with teams in the middle of North America. But Sam “s0m” Oh needs more experience to catch up with Josh “jdm64” Marzano and Noah “Nifty” Francis, or else the team can’t get any further. Meanwhile, jdm64 is slowly losing its form towards the end of Liquid, and Bradley “ANDROID” Fodor has yet to prove himself. In the end, Jacob “FugLy” Medina still has more to improve on.
