Natus Vincere superstar s1mple shares his plans to take down Astralis after an impressive championship win at StarSeries i-League Season 7.
Astralis has been dominating professional CSGO for the past year, taking home 12 trophies from LAN tournaments: including 2 Majors, ESL pro League and ECS.
Some players, like Finn “Karrigan’ Andersen of Mousesports, have asked Valve for help to reduce Astralis’ influence. Meanwhile, the teams are still trying their best to catch up and beat Astralis.
What is Na`Vi’s plan?
After admitting the team didn’t practice much ahead of IEM Katowice, s1mple shared a seemingly simple plan to beat Astralis – investing more in the organization.
Since Katowice, Na`Vi has made a change, adding former Gambit coach Andrey ‘B1ad3’ Gorodenskiy as esports director, a move s1mple believes is working.
“Now we are trying to create a new system with B1ad3 and add new people to the team: nutritionists and psychologists,” s1mple told HLTV in Shanghai. “We just want to see what happens next when the team is at 100 per cent preparation and training next month.”
How will B1ad3 help Natus Vincere?
B1ad3, formerly IGL and a former teammate of s1mple, was fully responsible for the transfer process, developing the Na`Vi team and ensuring the schedule was carefully prepared months in advance – similar to how organizations other operate.
This move is similar to Astralis, similar to the fact that the Danish team added sports psychologists in 2017 to fix problems, improve the team.
A professional investment: hiring a dietitian, therapist, and schedule manager will help in the long run.

Let’s wait and see if any team can reach the next level to challenge Astralis. At least for now, Na`Vi has taken the first serious steps in this endeavor.
