The North American CSGO team Orgrless announced they were stopping participating in Valve’s FPS game.

Orgless previously participated in ESL’s Road to Rio tournament to find out the teams for the CSGO Major in November. ESL announced on Twitter about Orgless’s announcement:

The team lost both matches in the current tournament with a 0-2 result to Cloud9 and then a 1-2 loss to Evil Geniuses. Orgless had a few surprises at FLASHPOINT, ranking fifth at the event in Los Angeles, California in recent weeks. Orgless improved a lot while finding sponsors for the first season of FLASHPOINT.

ESL ended the tweet, saying it would not invite another team to replace Orgless. This decision is to follow Valve’s new rules for managing games at Majors. Not long after the announcement from ESL, one of Orgless’s members, Jaccob “eye” Whiteaker, posted a tweet confirming ESL’s announcement that the lineup had disbanded.

Yay then took to his Twitch stream to share one of the reasons why Orgless had a hard time finding an organization for the FLASHPOINT and ESL One Rio qualifiers. Two other Orgless members, Matthew “WARDELL” Yu and Gauge “infinite” Green, also briefly commented on the issue. While WARDELL didn’t say much about the decision to dissolve the team, infinite pointed to something in the CSGO environment that made him unhappy.

It seems that the fierce battle between CSGO tournaments is not over yet, as eye also says that the opportunities for semi-professional CS players have almost dried up since Valorant was revealed.

“All the offers that we have have been withdrawn since Valorant happened,” Yay said.
