The North American esports mogul is eyeing 19-year-old Triumph player Grim. He has a rating of 1.34 in the past 3 months.

Liquid want Michael “Grim” Wince to replace Nick “nitr0” Cannella, DBLTAP reports. DBLTAP said that after the team had an internal meeting to find a replacement, nitr0 had left the squad.

Grim is currently considered the brightest face not in the top team 2020, achieving an average rating of 1.31 since the beginning of the year. The most successful period of his career in recent months was when he played for Triumph. Grim impressed opponents like MIBR, Evil Geniuses and 100 Thieves at BLAST Premier Showdown and then cs_summit 6.

Nitr0 is the longest-serving member of Liquid, playing for the organization’s Counter-Strike team since 2015. He helped the team win season two of the Intel Grand Slam, winning $1,000,000 in prize money with a 63-day record of winning IEM Sydney, DreamHack Masters Dallas, ESL Pro League Season 9 Finals and ESL One Cologne 2019. Recently, Liquid has struggled to keep the same record. They finished the season with 3rd place cs_summit 6, enough to get back into the top 10 of the world rankings before the players break.

In comments to Rush B Media, Liquid confirmed Grim will be in the lineup for the upcoming DreamHack Open Summer, which runs from August 8 to 16.

With the new member, Liquid’s lineup at DreamHack Open Summer is as follows:

United States Jonathan “EliGE” Jablonowski
Canada Russel “Twistzz” Van Dulken
Canada Keith “NAF” Markovic
United States Jake “Stewie2K” Yip
United States Michael “Grim” Wince

United States Eric “adreN” Hoag (coach)
