CSGO legend Christopher ‘GeT_RiGhT’ Alesund shares his future plans after a strong start at ESL One Cologne.

It remains unclear what the future of GeT_RiGhT will hold as Ninjas in Pajamas announced they will be looking for a permanent replacement for him after the StarLadder Berlin Major.

After almost 7 years of playing for NiP, GeT_RiGhT is leaving, marking the end of an era. He is one of the organization’s iconic players, and along with Patrik ‘f0rest’ Lindberg, is one of the remaining members of the legendary roster that dominated CSGO’s early years.

As a longtime player, many fans predicted that GeT_RiGhT’s departure from the team could mean the end of his playing career. However, it seems that GeT_RiGhT is not ready to hang the mouse yet.

In an interview at ESL One Cologne, the tournament that NiP is competing in, GeT_RiGhT said that while his future with NiP is still unclear, one thing is certain that he is not ready to retire.

“I’m really emotional talking about this because I don’t know what my future holds with the team. I know I’ll keep going until after the Major, when they decide what’s going to happen to me, and I’m ready to go if that’s possible.

Personally, I feel like I don’t want to give up playing yet. I feel like I’m still not done as a player. I want to show everyone again that I want to play. We’ll have to wait and see, I haven’t made a decision yet, the only thing that’s certain is that I won’t retire.”

This statement comes after the impressive performance of Ninjas in Pajamas in the opening rounds of ESL One Cologne. They won the match against Vitality, who had just won the ECS Season 7 Finals, and beat Heroic 2-0 to secure a playoff spot.

Whatever the outcome for NiP at ESL One Cologne, fans will have one more chance to watch GeT_RiGhT play for NiP at the StarLadder Berlin Major. The tournament will take place from August 23 to September 8.

Exactly how long it will take for NiP to find a replacement for GeT_RiGhT remains a mystery.
