CSGO: FaZe beat mousesports to win ESL One Belo Horizonte

FaZe won ESL One Belo Horizonte after defeating mousesports in a series of 5 intense maps.

FaZe is now leading the $1 million Intel Grand Slam race with three titles — one more than Astralis — after a hard-fought victory over mousesports. Convincing victory in Inferno gives FaZe the lead. But Karrigan’s army squandered their 11-0 advantage on Cache, allowing mousesports to come back and then lead the series after winning on Train. In the end, FaZe pocketed the last two maps to win the final 3-2 convincingly.

At Inferno, map pick of mousesports, chrisJ got himself a treble in the pistol round to raise the gap to 3-0 against T. The game then entered a period of struggle with mousesports and the team took the lead.

Then tragedy began to happen to the V4 Future Sports Festivals champion. After leading 5-2 and taking control of the economy, mouz lost the full eco round, thanks to chrisJ’s “killer” credit when the team attacked B. This mistake caused mousesports to lose ground, with FaZe ending The first half led 9-6.

To T, FaZe continued to widen the gap with a quick B push in the pistol round. FaZe’s sweeping journey only stops when the team wins the first map.

To Cache, chromium opened with a treble to help FaZe take the lead. Things soon spiraled out of control for mousesports, losing 11 rounds in a row. Finally, mousesports also got their first score in round 12 and pocketed a few more rounds.

Having given themselves the last 4 rounds of the first half, mousesports continued its good momentum. The team won 6 of the next 7 rounds to reduce the gap to 11-12. rain and karrigan burst onto the scene to help FaZe get 14 rounds.

As if FaZe had mastered the match, chrisJ single-handedly rescued the team with a 1v3 clutch and an important 1v1 victory in the next round. FaZe got off to a good start at Mirage and won four rounds in a row, causing mouz’s economy to crash. suNny got himself a 4 in round eco to get the team back into the game. However, FaZe played very well and ended the first half with a score of 12-3.

mousesports knows how to play hard to turn the game around and prevent map 5 from happening. Attempts to score 9-14 but mousesports’ efforts became futile as FaZe won 2 more rounds to bring the series to the final decisive map: Dust2.

In the deciding map, FaZe extinguished B when mouz tried to enter the bombsite with a quick attack. mousesports responded immediately, winning small rounds after exploiting weaknesses from karrigan in A long.

2-6, FaZe tightened their defense and won 3 rounds in a row thanks to NiKo’s excellent AWP shooting. The rest of the half was a tug-of-war, with mousesports leading their opponents by just one round.

Now on the T side, FaZe won the first round and the anti-eco rounds to get themselves 10 rounds in the match. Mousesports’ last-ditch efforts earned them 2 more rounds, but this could only prolong the match time. FaZe ended the series with a messy B – ending a chaotic map.
