Day 4 of the FACEIT Major – London 2018 New Legends has created a new turning point: we have three more teams in the New Champions round, and three teams have to leave including Cloud9 – the champion of the previous Boston Major. .
Let’s take a look at the progress of the matches:
BIG 1:0 HellRaisers – Train 16:9 (7:8, 9:1)
The overwhelming performance from Germany, when the boys secured a spot for the New Champions at this Major, forced HellRaisers to continue on day 5. The first half took place on the T-side for BIG, when they couldn’t. Take advantage of the pistol round win. HellRaisers took the first half, shutting down BIG’s all offensive efforts. Later, BIG regained form, ending the first half with a tight score of 7:8, with HellRaisers as the lead team. In CT, things were completely opposite, BIG not only won the second pistol round, but then, when HR took the first gun round, completely crushed the opponent. BIG won 6 rounds in a row for a 16:9 win.

Vega Squadron 0:1 Ninjas in Pajamas – Train 11:16 (7:8, 4:8)
The Ninja boys successfully defeated the sharks in the race to New Champions. Vega started the T-side strong at Train, taking the pistol round and the next two rounds. However, in the first round from NiP, Vega lost the advantage, with the Swedish team controlling the game. The two sides struggled back and forth in the second half of the half, reaching a score of 7-8, in favor of NiP. Having just won the pistol round, NiP lost again to Vega in the next round force-buy. Vega pocketed the next 2 rounds but was ineffective after that. Ninjas in Pajamas fought bravely and won 16:11 in the end.

TyLoo 0:1 FaZe Clan – Mirage 4:16 (4:11, 0:5)
FaZe Clan proves it’s more than just a name, defeating TyLoo at Mirage. The first half was completely overwhelmed by FaZe on the T side: Karrigan’s army won the pistol round, and won 10 consecutive rounds after that. TyLoo got himself a few rounds of clearance before the first half ended, with a terrifying 11:4 score in favor of FaZe. Going to CT, FaZe continued to dominate, winning 5 rounds later to finish the Chinese team 16:4.

Natus Vincere 1:0 Fnatic – Mirage 16:9 (8:7, 8:2)
The CIS representative who played strongly against Fnatic is no longer in its heyday. Fnatic started T-side at Mirage and played very well. Meanwhile, Na`Vi also pocketed 3 rounds for themselves, before ending CT with 5 consecutive winning rounds (8:7). After moving to T, Na`Vi completely crushed the Swedish team, only allowing the opponent to win the first round of guns and one more round in the second half. Natus Vincere ended the map with a score of 16:9, and one qualifying for the New Champions.

G2 Esports 0:1 Cloud9 – Inferno (8:7, 7:8, 7:4)
G2 Esports overcame Cloud9 after two overtime innings, continuing the FACEIT Major journey. The first half saw Cloud9 flourish on the T side, quickly creating a 6:2 advantage. G2 broke Cloud9’s match in round 9, winning for themselves 6 rounds in a row before the North American representative won the last round to have a score of 7:8. To T, G2 played solidly: winning the pistol round and two rounds later, but the French team could not take advantage of that, when Cloud9 continuously neutralized the opponent’s attack, letting the match go to extra time. The first half saw both sides split the score equally. But in the next extra time, G2 adjusted the lineup to win 22:19 on the whole.

Astralis with. MIBR – Dust 2 16:0 (15:0, 1:0)
This can be considered a nightmare for MiBR, when they could not win a round in the first half, and then lost in the end 16:0, the first time in Major history. Astralis is completely superior to the Americas team, both in terms of individual performance as well as perfect T-side tactics. Denmark finished the first half with a white score of 15:0, and then a successful pistol round by the police to finish 16:0.
We won the first 16-0 in Major history???
