Ubisoft has a series of big moments this year: it celebrated 30 million players in Rainbow Six Siege, then announced second year content for Ghost Recon Wildlands, and most recently confirmed The Division 2 during E3 this 2018. One game that is being ignored by everyone is Beyond Good and Evil 2, partly because this game hasn’t added anything new since last year. With E3 just a month away, Ubisoft has begun to wrap up the reveal of Beyond Good and Evil 2 gameplay, giving fans a glimpse of the combat and movement of the world.

In the latest update of Beyong Good and Evil 2, the new trailer shows beautiful graphics in the ‘pre-alpha’ stage so that players know how to travel the world. Creative director Jean-Marc Geffroy said that the player character is a pirate and is a theme the team wanted to focus on deeply in the main part of the game. The gameplay footage shows a bit of fighting by a character named Shani. Shani fights with a stick, reminiscent of the first heroine Jade who also uses a stick as a weapon.

With the sequel, Ubisoft created a bigger world for players to explore. Of course, as pirates, ships play a big part in this experience. For convenience, players can use personal boats as well as jetpacks. What’s more interesting is that players can leave the ship, change to a jetpack, explore a bit and then return to their ship. Beyond Good and Evil 2 shares the world, so you can participate in world events with other players or create fleets with them to travel at high speed together on separate ships.

Ubisoft is now focused on online services in games and with the first Beyond Good and Evil coming out almost 15 years ago, one can assume the company is taking a pretty big risk on the sequel. Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot feels this game will appeal to veteran gamers as well as those who have not experienced the first part. With developer Michel Ancel taking over as creative director, fans can be sure the game will be of high quality.

Beyond Good and Evil 2 Currently in development but no launch date or release platform yet.
