Apex Legends: The secret to mastering the late game

To win in Apex Legends, you have to be the last survivor, and here’s the secret to getting there.

Each match in Apex Legends is divided into three phases – early, mid, and late. The strongest gamers are the ones who are good at all three of these stages.

The late game, when there are less than 10 people on the map, is considered the most difficult, because almost all are equipped to the teeth – meaning skill plays a very important role.

With this in mind, YouTuber ‘Zeroga Kamico’ wrote an in-depth guide on how to win late game situations.

According to his video, players will fall into one of the following four late-game situations. Each situation requires a different way of playing and tactics.

• Stay within and above
• Stay within but in low terrain
• Not in the circle but above
• Neither within nor above

Why is it so important to have a high position?

The reason being high up in the late game is so important is because it provides cover, good visibility, and an advantage during gunfights – since aiming upwards is harder than aiming down.

Teams that get high and stay in the ring will easily see the rest of the teams and prevent the opponent from entering the safe area.

How to survive when there is no advantage in the sky

In situations where you are in the ring but not in high places, you have to harass the enemy with grenades and suppress fire, knocking them back and wasting your opponent’s time.

If deployed correctly, this tactic will give the team enough time to stay alive until the circle starts to move. You can then rematch the opponent or take the high terrain in the next round.

However, neither the terrain advantage nor the roundabout will push you into a more difficult situation. The first thing that you need to do is not to let the opponent detect until you have entered the circle. Once you have entered the round, you can apply the above strategy.
