Apex Legends is a battle royale game with class-based gameplay, taking place in a fast-paced, so the game does not focus too much on the dialogue as well as the plot. But Electronic Arts is now starting to focus on the plot with Season 4, Assimilation. The game introduces a new character named Forge, who then kills this character in the story trailer with a deathbot.
The latest, Apex Legends Season 4 trailer tells us a little more about what’s going on. The new Legend in the game is actually Revenant, and despite his murderous face, this Legend is not necessarily a bad person. Specifically, Revenant used to be a machine assassin Syndicate – the organization of Apex Games and control of power in the Outlands. But due to a programming error, Revenant became self-aware, and decided not to care about the organization.
And with the Robotic Hammonds now appearing in the Outlands, this may be the time for Revenant to “pay back” the organization.
APex Legends Season 4, Assimilation, will launch on February 4th.
