In Apex Legends’ mid-season 3 update, two unpublished legends were added to the game file, which includes their names and skill sets. Here is a summary of what we get from the characters “Forge” and “Conduit”.
Forge
Forge was first revealed on November 5, when data miner Shrugtal and That1MiningGuy discovered dozens of details in the game file.
These files find skin items, as well as 6 skills for Forge. Of course, the current Legends only have 3, so Forge owning 6 could be because the character is being tested and will be further adjusted. These six skills seem to revolve around melee moves:
- Pull Shot: Shoot the tow hook to pull your opponent towards you or use it to shoot Forge into the air.
- Ground Slam: Press sit while in the air to hit the ground from the air.
- KO Punch: Jump in one direction. Press sit while in the air to hit the ground.
- One-Two: Run in a straight line. If you hit an opponent on the road, press again to perform an “upper-cut”, sending you into the air.
- One The Ropes: The lower your health, the more melee damage you do. When launching melee attacks, you will be given an Overshield shield.
- Victory Rush: Killing an opponent with a melee attack heals yourself and grants 30% Movement Speed for 10 seconds.
As for the appearance of this Legend, it is still a mystery. However, Shrugtal found a sketch of the character from the icon set. Whether this is the final shape or not, we have to wait and see.
Conduit
Also found in files with Forge, Conduit possesses the following three skill sets:
- Tactical: Arc Flash: Deal damage to Conduit’s armor to give allies an Overshield shield.
- Passive: Capacitance: Conduit’s base health and armor is 50, instead of 100. Conduit slowly regenerates armor over time.
- Ultimate: Short Circuit: Conduit uses the armor to create a giant electric ball on the battlefield, stealing the opponent’s armor.
What is Overshield?
“Overshield” is a term that is not yet available in Apex Legends at the moment, but according to That1MiningGuy, it will be a new item in the future.
While unconfirmed, the leaker believes that the overshield is a special type of shield that improves based on how many people you kill.
It is possible that the overshield will be added at the same time as the Conduit, so that the Legend complements the item.
When are Conduit and Forge added to Apex Legends?
Currently, Respawn only adds one legend per season. Season 4 is expected to be Rosie (aka Loba), but this information has not been confirmed. According to the leak, Forge could debut in the next season, but there could also be more legends.
The code says “season4chars” with the “s” first added to the word “chars” (s is the English plural), indicating that Respawn will add at least one more Legend.
Given that Conduit was added to the game file at the same time as Forge, it is possible that both will appear in the game.
However, currently, Respawn Entertainment has not confirmed anything. Maybe these Legends are still in development, and not the final version.
