Assassin’s Creed Origins accidentally released a new version due to a download error

The version focuses on exploiting the 4-year timeline after the main story and new events in a new location – Sinai. The Hidden Ones also includes upgrading to level 45 and adding new outfits and weapons. However, after the most recent patch, some Xbox One gamers realized they were able to download it new version from the in-game app store, up to 1 week earlier than the release schedule.

Almost immediately, gamers shared the first images of the new location, the new outfit of the expansion version. The early leaked information (spoiler) rampant on Reddit caused a lot of controversy in the gaming community.

According to Ubisoft’s community manager Domunik Voigt, the incident was the result of “a misconfiguration in the download store”. The version was taken down immediately after it was discovered, but gamers were not deleted data, to avoid causing errors in saved files. Ubisoft referred to these gamers as “The Lucky Ones” (the lucky ones) in the official announcement, a rather humorous and reasonable title for the earliest owner of “The Hidden Ones” (the version name). – The Hidden Ones).

Meanwhile, gamers who do not yet own Assassin’s Creed Origins will have to spend $9.99 to buy The Hidden Ones on January 23.​
