5 things you need to know about the Dauntless Clear Skies update

1. New Ramsgate City

For the first time since its launch, Ramsgate’s central city has been redesigned. The city is larger and easier to navigate. New structures also appear in the city, including a market and a smithy to meet the player’s need to buy weapons and armor. You’ll also notice distinct sounds depending on the area you’re standing in or who you’re talking to. On top of that, the game will give you a few new ways to interact with Ramsgate and learn the history of the Shattered Isles. Now you can even join the mini-game where you challenge your friends to a race around the city with your own feet.

2. Redesigned Sword

The sword is the first weapon present in Dauntless. While it’s been a reliable weapon for new and veteran Slayers for years, it’s time for a redesign. You can now perform new combos as well as access the Valor system, which allows you to deploy some powerful moves using Valor. In addition to short ranged attacks, the sword can perform AoE attacks and ranged attacks.

3. Update Umbral Escalation

Escalation, a new form of hunting introduced last month, challenges you to Behemoth wars. These wars include random scenarios and Behemoth encounters, providing a new challenge every time you jump in. Umbral Escalation – released in June has been updated with some special buffs. Reach level 40 and up and you’ll join the latest Behemoth hunt against Thrax.

4. Clear Skies Hunt Pass

Ramsgate is safe… at least for now. The Clear Skies Hunt Pass celebrates Ramsgate’s victory. With the rebuilding of the city, the intrepid Slayers are now looking for new adventures in the Shatter Isles. Find your way through 50 reward levels, including the unique sword The Hunger and the new Wayfinder super armor.

5. Emerald Steel Pack for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members
