Ubisoft has created the super product Assassin’s Creed Odyssey by taking the most quintessential things from Assassin’s Creed Origins and perfecting it. Before Origins, many thought the franchise was getting old, but Origins’ Egyptian plot broke that stereotype. Then Odyssey came out, it created a huge buzz and made fans excitedly look forward to the sequel, coming out in 2020.
However, until then, we still have a lot of work to do in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey after the game ends. Completing the main story takes about 40 hours, but that’s just one plot. The player still has to confront the cults, hunting them down one by one before facing their leader. Then, you have to defeat many legendary creatures of Greece, which requires the player to be at least level 50.
Once that’s all done, you get to see the true end of the main campaign – considered by many to be one of the best moments of the Assassin’s Creed franchise. However, for those who really enjoy the Greek world in Assassin’s Creed Oydssey, things don’t stop there. Here are 5 things players can do after completing everything in the main story.
5. Story Creator Mode
What better way to enjoy the Greek scene than by creating it yourself? Earlier this summer, Ubisoft introduced a Story Creator mode for Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, allowing players to design missions, in-game characters, including dialogue options. This was the way to enjoy the game, but when it first came out, some players took advantage of “easy” quests to earn XP – then Story Creator was tweaked to prevent this XP farming.
4. Affection
There are many characters that bring to the emotional plot in Odyssey. Some require you to enter the late game to meet them, because their house or island is located in an area where the enemy is too strong. However, there are characters like Daphnae: her story can begin at level 13, but cannot be completed until level 45.
3. Small and large DLCs
Odyssey was heavily supported after launch, including two major DLCs and dozens of free minor updates. The two major DLCs, Legacy of the First Blade and Fate of Atlantis, each have three chapters each. This is definitely the thing that attracts fans the most after the end of the game, especially the Torment of Hades chapter in Fate of Atlantis that stands out the most.
For those who want to play the game a bit but don’t want to spend a lot of time on the big DLC, they can choose to enjoy many small DLCs. There are many missions for players to unlock, adding depth to the game’s plot. Side quests also have more Cyclops – one-eyed monsters – for you to fight.
2. Discover Ancient Greece
Ubisoft’s Ancient Greece is so beautiful it’s worth traveling around. Here are a few places worth checking out: the highest point on the map (go from Chasm of Taygetus to Mount Taygetus and climb up), the small town of Lalaia in Phokis, the Silver Islands, and Korinth, which is particularly beautiful about night.
1. New Game +
The final question is: “What will you do after completing all of the above and most of the game quests?” The answer is quite simple: play it again. The game has multiple endings and plenty to keep the content fresh, worth playing over and over again. Assassin’s Creed Odyssey’s New Game+ lets players switch characters and switch levels, stats, skills, and gear to play again.
Assassin’s Creed Oydssey is out now on PC, PS4 and Xbox One, and a Stadia version is in development.
