Act-Age

Berserk is one of the longest running dark fantasy manga ever released. Guts’ Tragedy and Revenge began in 1989 and has continued to be published since then, although the chapter schedule can sometimes be delayed due to Miura’s health.

Unfortunately, after 364 chapters, author Kentaro Miura passed away in May of this year. Although many of the twists and turns in the story have yet to be (and probably never will) be resolved, Berserk remains as a legendary manga that is loved by many.

Hunter X Hunter

Hunter X Hunter is the manga that holds the record for the longest hiatus in history comic, each delay lasts for months, even years. The cause comes from Yoshihiro Togashi’s health problems, specifically his back. His condition was so severe that each medical leave could last for several months or even years. Currently Hunter X Hunter has published 390 chapters, the latest chapter was released in 2018.

Because of his bad health, Togashi also prepared a backup plan. It is known that his wife – Naoko Takeuchi – the author of Sailor Moon has practiced drawing and has in hand all the notes for the ending of the series. If Togashi is permanently unable to complete Hunter X Hunter, Takeuchi will complete it for him.

Crayon Shin-Chan (Crayon shin)

With 1,126 chapters, Shin – Pencil Boy is one of the longest manga in history since its debut in 1992. Unfortunately, the series was never completed the way the author wanted because Yoshito Usui passed away. while participating in climbing Mt. Arafune in 2009. After a long hiatus, Usui’s assistants continued the manga until it ended in 2010, of course the original long-term plans were forced to cancel.
