When in Zombie Survival Till Dawn and Zombie Darkest Night modes, players all have a common battle goal that is to fight Zombie undead. In Infection mode, it’s different, they have to participate in a battle of a much larger scale. The battle begins when players are randomly divided into two separate groups, one representing Defenders, the other representing Zombies.

In Infection mode, the player plays the role of Defenders of the Zombies

The Defenders consist of uninfected players who will have the ability to use guns to kill zombies. Meanwhile, facing the guardians, Zombies will have many different skills and abilities and can’t use any guns and ammunition. The basic idea behind the whole Infection Mode is pretty simple and sounds like a scene from a classic apocalyptic movie. If the Zombie player kills any Defender, that defender will turn into a zombie.

If all Defenders are transformed into zombies then the zombie team will win, but if any defender can survive the whole match, i.e. in 15 minutes, the defenders will win. All Infection Mode battles will be played on the brand new Last Harbor map. Infection mode seems to be quite interesting and will definitely bring a lot of fun for gamers, as well as a new form of combat for the game.
