WB Games teases Batman Arkham sequel

This year marks the 80th anniversary of Batman – the Dark Knight first appeared in the 27th Detective Comic magazine in 1939. And most recently, WB Games’ Montreal studio has just hinted at Batman-related information – this could be is the new Arkham game.

This information was posted on Twitter, with a video showing the Batman logo appearing on the office building. In addition, the circular icon suddenly blinks in the video. WB Games doesn’t say what they mean, but may be related to Batman’s villain Ra’s al Ghul and a new evil organization called the Court of Owls.

This round symbol, which looks like a demon’s head, actually refers to Ra’s al Ghul. Ra’s appears in the Arkham Knight DLC, with two gangs vying for control of the organization.

Notably, this is the first Twitter news the studio has posted since 2015.

Many believe that the other symbols are related to the Court of Owls, the criminal organization recently introduced in the Batman Vol. 2 in 2011. They’re the dark organization that has controlled Gotham since colonial times, and employs assassins who see ghosts – possibly hybrids between humans and zombies, depending on the storyline you follow.

Meanwhile, others believe that the logo in the video represents Ra’s League of Shadows. Right now, we can’t say anything.

Some believe they will be officially announced at Sony’s State of Play event. Another possibility is at the XO19 event, which takes place in London from November 14 to 16.

For now, you can grab six free Batman games that are currently on the Epic Games Store.
