Assassin’s Creed will no longer be a stealth action game.

According to the latest report published by EarlyGame magazine, Ubisoft has just confirmed an information that makes many gamers heartbroken. Specifically, the French game company said that the Assassin’s Creed series will officially remove the “stealth action” mechanism from the following versions.

So after more than a decade of existence, with great success in the past and the “stealth action” mechanism that has become a trademark, Assassin’s Creed officially turned to a different direction of development. That is action role-playing – RPG. Ubisoft says it will get rid of the stealth action mechanic entirely, instead doubling down on the RPG’s structured content. This will turn Assassin’s Creed into an action role-playing game, not a stealthy action like before.

Ubisoft confirms information that makes gamers heartbroken, Assassin's Creed officially

For those who loved this series from the very beginning, this can be said to be the information that makes them feel heartbreaking. However, if we look at the three most recent versions of this series, Origins, Odyssey and Valhalla, we can completely see the action and role-playing qualities are becoming more and more obvious. Ubisoft has been gradually changing the structure of this game over the past 4 years and now it’s time for them to decide on a complete overhaul.

Looking at the commercial success of Origins, Odyssey and Valhalla trilogy compared to its predecessors, it is understandable that Ubisoft has changed somewhat. They operate according to the wishes of the market and will always make changes to please the majority of gamers. As everyone loves and is more interested in RPG than stealth action, there is no reason for Ubisoft to not change.
