Thorin’s CS:GO World Top 10 Ranking, October

The world CSGO rankings are constantly changing. However, with so many different events, it is difficult to determine whether one tournament is more important and valuable than the other. Instead of spending a lot of effort based on a scoring system, Thorin reviewed the performance of the past teams and came up with a world top 10 ranking based on his own experience and analysis.

Thorin will only count the results of offline tournaments. In general, he will judge based on the achievements of the teams in the past 3 months, recent achievements will be appreciated more. In the end, the current roster and head-to-head record will be the main factors for ranking.

Since the last ranking we have had tournaments like Dreamhack Masters Malmo, Dreamhack Montreal, ESG Tour Mykonos and ESL One New York.

Here is the CS:GO top 10 rankings for October 8, 2017:

1. SK Gaming (coldzera, FalleN, fer, TACO and felps) [-]

Although SK is in an unprecedented decline, the Brazilian team still has remarkable achievements. Their victories have been dwindling, with the exception of Cologne, but they still made it to the playoffs of the last 4 tournaments they participated in, in which they also finished in the top 4 of a major tournament (ESL One New York).

Even though it hasn’t won many championships anymore, SK is still the most impressive team right now. They have won 7 different maps against the top 10 teams and 3 wins in the BO3 series (FaZe, C9 and VP), such achievements keep them at the 1st place and the teams below have to try. tried so hard to dominate SK.

Gambit is no longer led by the legendary Zeus, but they are still shocking to take the top 4 in Malmo, a commendable achievement. They also beat Astralis in the BO3 series to get the top spot. The Mykonos tournament was a disaster, but Gambit’s win (FNATIC, beat Astralis twice and even FaZe with a new roster) was pretty impressive, despite their recent roster changes. Few would have thought that Gambit would be able to rank up after Zeus’s departure, but CS:GO is a world full of surprises.

New York was the first event where Astralis failed to make it to the playoffs since gla1ve joined. This team has not won many championships anymore, only the result of defeating SK in the BO3 and Na`Vi series. Astralis have never dropped below 4th this year, but the teams above them have outperformed, pushing them down to 6th.
