The Steam Winter Sale is one of the most anticipated times in the gaming world, with a slew of PC games at hefty discounts. Now, Valve has confirmed this winter Steam sale will begin on December 19.
This game selling platform confirmed during the press conference for the 2019 Steam Awards, where the categories were announced. This year’s game will compete with 8 categories, including four new ones. The categories are: Game of the Year, VR Game of the Year, Labor of Love, Better with Friends, Most Innovative Gameplay, Outstanding Story-Rich Game, Best Game You Suck At, and Outstanding Visual Style.
The nominees for each category will be announced daily, while the community votes on Steam from December 19, around the same time as the Steam Winter Sale. Voting ends in the new year.
We don’t yet know which games will be nominated – or which games will be discounted.
