A co-founder member Blizzard is developing a new game project with the participation of many former employees StarCraft 2 and Hearthstone. Blizzard CEO Mike Morhaime has established a new publisher Dreamhaven with two studios under Moonshot and Secret Door.
Moonshot is led by former Blizzard director Jason Chayes, former StarCraft 2 and Heroes of the Storm director Dustin Browder, and former Hearthstone creative director Ben Thompson. Secret Door is run by former Hearthstone executive producer Chris Sigaty, former Hearthstone and World of Warcraft director Eric Dodds. In addition, former Blizzard technical director and directing director Alan Dabiri is also on the key team of this project.
Morhaime shared on the official Dreamhaven website that: “I am delighted to be partnering with a talented team who care deeply about the game and the community of players. I have always believed in the mission of games to bring people together, regardless of background or border. With Dreamhaven, we look forward to creating and sharing new experiences with players everywhere.”
The new publisher hasn’t revealed specifics about their upcoming project, but a blog post on Dreamhaven’s website highlights its goal of fostering “meaningful connections between players.”
