It is known that at 5 am on March 23, a 28-year-old Japanese man snuck into a card shop located in the Higashi-Ikebukuro district, Tokyo by swinging down from the rooftop. The total value of the cards he stole (including Pokemon cards and Yu-Yi-Oh!) amounted to $9,100 (VND 209 million), in addition to about $ 2,370 (54 million) in cash from office in the store.

The thief is currently identified as Kensuke Nakanishi, who has been arrested by the police on suspicion of theft and illegal trespassing. Nakanishi admitted to the crime and said that he did it to pay off the debt. Police said the young man tied a rope to the railing on the top floor of the building to break into the store through a window. Nakanishi didn’t even wear a safety harness when climbing because, in his words, “I used to join the climbing club in high school so I’m not afraid of heights.”

Before being arrested, security cameras recorded the whole scene of Nakanishi breaking into the store. What a mistake this young man made when not only could not pay his debt, but with such a large amount of money stolen, perhaps Nakanishi’s time in prison was not short.
