Former professional CSGO player Michael ‘shroud’ Grzesiek feels that Valorant’s beta is much easier to play than the FPS CSGO game.
When Valorant’s closed beta started, many fans came to this streamer to feel Riot’s tactical shooter.
Some have compared Valorant to CSGO and Overwatch, saying it is the perfect cross between the two games. Of course, the new FPS game still has its own character, but from what has been experienced, shroud believes that the mechanics in the game are similar to CSGO’s predecessor, Counter-Strike 1.6.
During a chat on the Mixer channel, shroud was asked if Valorant was going to be easy while he played with other streamers during the beta.
“I think it’s very similar to CS, but CS is very distracting,” the 25-year-old streamer pointed out. He later admitted that Counter-strike “has a lot of distractions and nonsense in the map”, which can sometimes affect gameplay.
The former professional CSGO player then compared Valorant to CS 1.6, saying the game is “empty” in the way that “everything is very simple, there’s nothing on the wall”. I mean the Agents are clearly visible.
Along with Riot’s server infrastructure, Shroud believes the game’s appearance is the main reason why Valorant “feels easier” Global Offensive.
Shroud did not hesitate to praise Valorant’s beta, saying it was “one of the best games” he had ever played.
His thoughts are also shared by many well-known members of the community, such as Jaryd ‘Summit1G’ Lazar, Jack ‘CouRage’ Dunlop and Saqib ‘LIRIK’ Zahid. They all praised Riot’s game after playing it.
