Who is Shenhe in Genshin Impact?

Also known as Shenli or Shen He, Shenhe is one of eight new Genshin Impact characters that were leaked in November 2020. Shenhe is from Liyue and possibly related to Cloud Retainer, Adepti. Shenhe means God of Crane. That may be due to the character’s relationship with Cloud Retainer – a white crane with a 3-color mixed plumage: blue, yellow and black.

Is Shenhe the human form of Cloud Retainer?

Cloud Retainer is one of the Adepti contracted by Geo Archon, Rex Lapis. She is an Adeptus, like the blue crane that you must have met once in the story about Liyue Archon.

Many players believe that Shenhe could be the human form of Cloud Retainer because of the similarity in costumes and identities. However, there is currently no confirmed information about this rumor. Furthermore, despite being related to Crane, Shenhe has no Anemo vision.

• Shenhe’s elemental burst is similar to Eula’s with stacked damage, meaning she’ll be stronger in long skirmishes. The effect disappears when Shenhe leaves the battlefield.
• Shenhe’s leveling materials can be Glaze Lily, Fatui Insignia, Juvenile Jade, and Shivada Jade.
• The talent leveling material is the Book of Diligence.
