Ruined King: A League of Legends Story, is a single-player RPG game in the League of Legends universe that will launch in early 2021.
At the announcement of The Game Awards last year, Ruined King was a party RPG where a group of League champions fought a common enemy. The game will take place in two places in the world of Runeterra. The first location is the port of Bilgewater, rife with sea monsters and smugglers. The second location is Shadow Isles, the island is covered by Black Mist (black fog).
The first game released on multiple platforms with turn-based combat gameplay. Ruined King is published by Riot Forge and is a side story game of League. “Ruined King will be the first single-player game to bring the League of Legends universe to consoles and PCs,” said Leanne Lombe, head of Riot Forge at Riot Games at the press conference. “We’re excited to discover the storylines and champions that you’ve come to love over the years, and we can’t wait for everyone to join this new adventure.”
Ahri, Braum, Illaoi, Miss Fortune, Pyke and Yasuo are six champions that can be used by the player. The project is developed by Airship Syndicate, this developer is best known for two titles Darksiders Genesis and Battle Chasers: Nightwar. Here is the game announcement trailer:
