Resident Evil 3 Remake is one of the most easily leaked secrets in the gaming industry. And publisher Capcom decided to officially confirm the existence of the game at the State of Play stream. RE3 Remake will be available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC on April 3, 2020 – and will come with Project Resistance 4-player co-op mode.
Like the previous remake, this part also keeps the camera seen from behind the shoulder. In addition, the new game will remake the playing environment built from Capcom’s RE engine – the engine used to develop Resident Evil 7: Biohazard and Resident Evil 2 remakes.
Project Resistance was previously teased, but it seems to be the codename for a separate RE game. Now, Capcom has officially confirmed it’s just the 4v1 multiplayer mode included in the Resident Evil 3 remake. You can check out the Resident Evil 3 Remake trailer below.
Those who pre-order will receive the old outfit at no extra cost. And yet, the $180 collector’s edition will include the artbook, digital soundtrack, game map, and 11″ model by Jill Valentine.
The original debuted on PlayStation 1 in 1999 before being released on PC, DreamCast, and GameCube. RE3 began to change direction to action instead of pure survival horror as in the past and was positively received by the community.
Rumors of a Resident Evil 3 remake have been around for a long time, and Capcom even teased the game’s artwork with the famous Nemesis character. However, the publisher refused to confirm that rumor… until now.
The previous Resident Evil Remake versions were very successful in terms of quality and revenue. Resident Evil 2’s sales almost surpassed the original after only 2 months of sales.
