PUBG limits ping to improve game quality

PUBG Corporation has officially rolled out a new update, this time aimed at improving player ping. In December 2017, the publisher announced they were looking to apply ping limits to improve game quality. However, that issue was delayed to focus on perfecting the anti-cheat system.

PUBG will now apply a ping limit system. The matchmaking system will assign players to separate areas, depending on their ping. Contrary to the previous idea, this approach allows players with the same ping to play together, improving gameplay for all involved. The ping limit will be applied on the test server first, and the final version will be announced later.

Here are the details of Update #6:

World

• Replace fences in Miramar with unbreakable fences or walls to optimize the game

Gameplay

• Once the player is inside the plane, they can no longer see the inside. This improves the quality of the game and the server
  • Other players will appear when they jump out of the plane
  • Once in the plane, you can check the remaining people on the plane through the new interface in the lower left corner of the screen

Replays

• When reporting someone through the replay system, PUBG Corp. will receive one minute of replay focusing on the time you report
  • Can’t report through replay made more than a week ago
  • Cannot report the same player more than once in the same replay file

Fixes

• Fixed a bug where players would die if they fell while climbing
• Fixed an issue where, after reconnecting to the game, players would experience vision errors when using ADS on their weapon
• Fixed an issue where players wouldn’t take damage when entering the vehicle while lying down and then exiting the vehicle while the vehicle was moving
• Fixed an issue where, after entering a vehicle (in the passenger’s seat) while lying down and using a heal item, the player displayed using the item lying down instead of sitting

• Changed to reduce hacks to reduce healing time/boost
