The beta version of PUBG Lite initially launched in Thailand in 2019 before opening to players in other countries in Asia and Europe. PUBG Lite brings some familiar maps like Erangel, Sanhok, Bodie and finally Vikendi. At the end of 2019, the team behind PUBG Lite dropped L-Coins and made the game free-to-play. The Lite Pass is replaced with quests and all items can be purchased with in-game currency.
