Like many online multiplayer games, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds has faced a lot of hacking problems over the years. At the end of December, PUBG Corp. has consistently banned 100,000 hackers per week. Now, the studio will release a series of new steps to overcome the hacking problem in its game.
In an article posted on PUBG’s website, PUBG PC production director Taeseok Jang said: “The battle against cheats is never over and that’s what we’re constantly trying to find a solution to.” law for it.” Emphasizing anti-hacking as a “high priority issue” for the studio, Jang introduced the many “improvements” the developer is releasing this year to “ensure players can feel the team’s efforts.”
The first is “steps to strengthen before it happens” to prevent hacking before it is even run, like two-factor authentication for users to prevent their accounts from being hijacked by hackers. then get banned. The team also only fixes the hacking holes present in the game code.
In addition, the studio also placed “focus on strengthening the automated ban system as well as improving the hardware ban system” when the hack occurred.

PUBG Corp expands the game’s detection coverage “to better deter cheaters”, as well as adds “automatic analysis” to “find players using cheat software by finding there is a marked difference between the values in the playing environment of real players and those using hacks.” The studio expects these changes to roll out in July of this year.
Once a hacker has been discovered, there are two ways to enforce the ban. First of all, PUBG Corp’s new system will ban HWID, which means “these improvements will find the user’s hardware information and at the kernel level using specific algorithms, even if the hacking software tries to outdo them, they I can still quickly block the software from resuming. This will help ban PCs as well as accounts from using hacking software.”
And yet, the company has also increased the “ban level” by changing the way they approach people who are temporarily banned for investigation. While the team tried to avoid “mistakes” as much as possible, Jang said they “recognized being too cautious can have a negative impact on more people than the account in question.” The studio plans to be stricter, including “extra monitoring” for suspected hacks in June 2020.
