Proof that the next CSGO operation is coming soon

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive fans have been waiting quite a while. It will be less than a month since the last CSGO Major took place. September is also around the time Valve released clues about last year’s Operation Shattered Web.

With a game that focuses heavily on competition, operations always bring a breath of fresh air to CSGO. CSGO operations always come with gun skins, co-op mode. And in the previous operation, Shattered Web fans also experienced different entertainment game modes

When Shattered Web officially launched in November 2019, players had to wait nearly two years for such an event to happen. Although Shaterred Web does not create a breakthrough compared to other CSGO operations, it contributes more so that Valve can prepare for the next operations.

Valve on schedule for 2020 to launch a new case

Looking back at CSGO’s new case release schedule over the years, we can clearly see the timelines when Valve releases new skins for the game. Before looking at the clues from the operation, it’s important to understand how often Valre releases new content. This way we can predict.

As of 2017, Valve seems to aim to release three cases per year. Each case usually comes out at the same time each year, and now if it’s on schedule, we’ll have two more before 2020 ends. Prisma 2’s release at the end of Shattered Web is also the time when CSGO released the Clutch and Prisma cases in the previous two years.

Although CSGO doesn’t have new content yet, Valve usually releases new crates with 128 days on average. That means fans still have to wait another month until we reach that average number of days. If Valve is developing a new operation, it may take longer. If the next operation is like the Shattered Web, it will give the fan three collections and the same chest skin to collect. In the last two years, CSGO’s second crate falls between August and October.

Since Prisma 2 launched on April 1, it has been 125 days. Case CS20 has to wait 219 days compared to the Prisma case released in January. Shattered Web comes out just a month later with three collections and a new weapon chest!

Last September, CSGO players got a new console command that made it easier for them to find smoke while practicing. That update is small and isn’t on the CSGO blog, but it does contain commands used by the CSGO development team to improve bots players encounter during Shattered Web’s coop guardian missions.

Command grenades launched just three days after the developer added “bot decision tress” to the CSGO bot. Decision stress works like an AI structure, allowing the CSGO bot to make decisions based on what’s happening around it. The bot can track enemy projectiles in smoke, hear footsteps, etc. Update bots and grenades may seem unrelated, but when the first smoke lands on Mirage’s guardian mission, we understand them well. added for that task.

Valve developed to make the next CSGO operation easier to create

Before Operation Shattered Web, any mission type was specifically named after the operation name in the game’s config files. However, they are changed with the Shattered Web. The command in the map config is added to the operation. These config files are quite long, and it makes it easier to create guardian tasks, similar to how you would run a training config. There are templates available to be used for all guardian tasks.

The most important thing is that there are signs that CSGO will soon have an operation. The above change makes task creation much easier. This means that developers do not have to put in as much effort as before to create operations, which means they can create more projects and release new content more regularly for players.
