December is here, which means two things: a lot of games will be on sale soon, and Overwatch has a Winter Wonderland event. Winter Wonderland 2019 is here with a lot of new skins for you to add to your collection.
Overwatch also has a new mini game called Snowball Deathmatch, an 8-player deathmatch mode. Everyone plays Mei in this snow shooter, similar to Snowball Offensive. In this mode, Mei will add a new skill called “Catch”, which allows you to capture your opponent’s snowball and use it as bullets.
Of course, everyone knows this Overwatch event is used to collect game skins. This year, we have 4 Legendary skins that can be opened in loot boxes or purchased with in-game currency. The remaining three skins are Epic and received when participating in the Weekly Challenge.
Weekly Challenge is complete when you win 9 games and you will receive a reward. This time, the rewards are player icons, spray and Epic skins, each week with different skins. In the first week, you can unlock Ugly Sweater Soldier: 76. In week 2 it will be Holly Moira, and in week 3 will be Mercy’s Snow Angel. Meanwhile, the Legendary skins are Jotunn Doomfist, Mountain Man McCree, Rat King Reaper, and Rime Sigma.
As usual, these skins represent characters that Blizzard fans are quite familiar with. For example, Doomfist is now a Frost Giant, and Sigma looks like Arthas Menethil after merging with the Lich King in Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos.
Overwatch’s Winder Wonderland 2019 event is live on PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch, starting December 10 and ending January 2.
