Fortnite star Tyler “Ninja” Blevins shocked the streaming community when he left Twitch to join Mixer in early August – and recent success on Mixer shows that his decision was not wrong.
Ninja just announced his next big achievement on Twitter on August 29, saying he hit two million followers on Mixer – less than a month after switching from Twitch.
“Today, we hit two million followers on Mixer in less than a month!” Ninja wrote. “Absolutely beyond amazing. My goal on Mixer is not to get more viewers, but to try to bring as many other streamers as possible with me and get this great platform as much attention as possible.”
Ninja’s two million followers is Ninja’s next big milestone. Before that, he hit a million subscribers on Mixer just five days after switching to the new streaming platform – including three days of being streamed live at the Lollapalooza music festival in Chicago.
Not stopping there: This milestone also brought streamers a huge amount of money, estimated at $2.5 million USD in just one week of streaming. However, the exact details of Mixer’s contract with Ninja have not been released, so fans can’t know how much he actually earns.
All in all, it looks like Ninja is having a successful month. He has just released his autobiographical book “Get Good” and collaborated with sports brand Adidas.
Ninja is quite tight-lipped about the details of his deal with Adidas. Adidas says this partnership can produce both in-game and real-life items.
Ninja’s departure from Twitch also affects the ranking of top streamers on Twitch. Professional Fortnite player Turner “Tfue” Tenney is at the top with the most followers, followed by former CSGO pro Michael “shroud” Grzesiek.
