Mulan unexpectedly beat Tenet and Birds of Prey to win Best Action Film 2020

Is the live-action version of the animated film Magnolia Flower hit in 1998, no doubt Mulan is the 2020 blockbuster of Disney. Although due to the influence of COVID-19 so it is difficult to release in theaters but Disney still has an alternative to ensure that the film will be released to the right audience this year, instead of showing on the big screen, the audience can watch the movie on Disney+.​

Since its release, Mulan has received mixed reviews, on Rotten Tomatoes, the film has a rating of 74% fresh tomatoes – a pretty good score. However, Mulan’s IMDB score only modestly stopped at 5.4/10. In China – Hua Mulan’s home country, the audience reacted even more sharply to the film. Only giving Mulan a score of 5/10, many Chinese viewers think that this is an awkward, half-hearted, culturally distorted film. One-color acting of Liu Yifei in the movie is also not popular with the audience

Perhaps that’s why many people were surprised when the film won the People’s Choice Awards Best Action Movie 2020. The People’s Choice Awards took place last night to honor excellent films and musical works this year. Bad Boys For Life, directed by Bilall Fallah and Adil El Arbi, won Best Picture of 2020, while Mulan beat Christopher Nolan’s Tenet, Birds of Prey, Bloodshot, Extraction, Project Power and The Old Guard to be the best action movie of 2020.​
