2018 is coming to an end and Monter Hunter World, Capcom’s successful RPG title continues to appear on the Game of the Year list. Recently, Capcom announced that Monster Hunter World will have its first major expansion in Fall 2019, titled Iceborne.
A few details about the Monster Hunter World Iceborne expansion have been announced, including new rank missions, monsters, and gear. And of course, this expansion will have new lands for players to explore. Iceborne also continues the ongoing storyline in Monster Hunter World.
An interesting detail at the end of the Iceborne trailer. As the video goes dark, red eyes light up on the screen followed by a claw claw. It looks like the dragon Nargacuga will appear in this expansion. In addition, the Monster Hunter community predicts this icy map will have the presence of other monsters such as Barioth and Tigrex, as well as many other animals appearing in Iceborne.
As part of the Special Developer Update, Iceborne was announced in a pre-recorded video stream. Monster Hunter producer Ryozo Tsujimoto then shared many new events, including the Kulve Taroth shrine “The Fury of El Dorado,” the Appreciaton Fest for its one-year anniversary, and the Witcher 3 crossover event.
The Special Developer Update ends with the announcement of Iceborne. Iceborne pricing and details will be announced in Spring 2019.
Monter Hunter World is available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox ONe. The Iceborne expansion will launch in Fall 2019 on PS4 and Xbox One, and PC versions after.
