Mixwell looking for a new stop after G2

Mixwell looking for a new stop after G2

G2 Esports, the team that Oscar “Mixwell” Cañellas took part in the trial in March, having announced that he would allow the Spaniard AWPer to find a new stop.

This information shows that bringing Mixwell as well as bringing NBK to IGL is not effective in the long term, which means that G2 has decided on a new direction for the CS: GO team. In the meantime, he’s waiting for new offers from other teams – this doesn’t mean mixwell won’t be able to stay at G2.

Jerome “NiaK” Sudries discussed the decision and the new direction for the team and Mixwell:

The decision-making process to determine which lineup will represent G2 Esports has begun. While it was happening, we wanted to give Oscar a chance to look at other options on the market.

We’d like to make it clear that Oscar has been a great teammate since he joined as a trial and in this context added difficulties for him, but he still showed his potential. His maturity, work ethic, and ability to adapt to new roles, especially in a language he hasn’t practiced in years, has made Oscar a valuable asset in CS:GO. We’re sure he’ll find success in the years to come, whether he’s in the new G2 roster or not.

The key to the ending is: “whether you’re in the new G2 lineup or not.” Therefore, while Mixwell has the option to switch to another roster if he wants to, this player still has the opportunity to become a full member of G2.

Mixwell also tweeted after this announcement, saying that the testing process has ended and it seems that the relationship between Mixwell and G2 is over.

After parting ways with OpTic Gaming – the North American organization that later absorbed the Danish squad – Mixwell looked for its opportunities and chose G2 Esports as its new destination.

G2 is still planning to attend the ECS Season 5 Finals in London from June 8 to 10, but at the moment it’s likely to be the new lineup. This announcement is quite clear as “the negotiation is still going on”, we will certainly know more in the near future. For now, Mixwell can jump into a new boat of its own.
